Innovative platform for family caregivers

Demographic change is accompanied by an unabated demand for care services for senior citizens. The choice of care services is huge, but at the same time totally confusing. The worst thing is that most of those potentially interested know nothing about it. This is exactly where the jointly created platform comes in.
About Franz & VroniThe short version
Becoming the first platform for caring for relatives - we developed this vision together in a feasibility workshop. It was the guiding principle for our collaboration. With the go-ahead, we translated the vision into a concept including a concrete product idea and wireframes.
We then launched our speedboat. The airstream gave us wings: Within two sprints over 5 weeks, the MVP with headless CMS, its own page builder, search engine and custom offer check landed in its home port.

The challenges
Not all at once
Too many ideas. Where to start? Choosing the right feature for a new platform in a perfect world: easy to implement with maximum added value for users.
Five weeks
Not much time to implement an MVP. No trial and error, no fiddling around. It's best to get down to business. Or even better: pick up the Hilti right away!
Accessibility
A platform for seniors? According to our accessibility specialist Anna, at least 15% of all users are impaired in some way. This figure is likely to be much higher in this target group.

Solution modules
Customized workshops
Together with the Domicura team, we looked at the vision of the platform and set priorities. Using tools such as the impact/effort map, user day mapping and Crazy-8, we were able to plan the first steps.
Prototype
We captured the top three features from the feasibility workshop in a clickable wireframe prototype. The result: a common understanding of the first features and a much better basis for discussion than a PowerPoint slide with a diagram.

Wireframes may be enough if you have half a year to implement them and can rebuild everything three times. But to build an MVP in five weeks, you need more precise plans. After all, you don't plan the construction of a house with your godchild's kindergarten drawings.
Don't reinvent the wheel
The internet is full of SaaS products that make your life easier. That's why we don't rebuild what already exists. In this project, we use the Google Cloud Platform and a headless CMS.
Babysteps, Talk, repeat
To use your time efficiently, it is much easier to take small steps and synchronize them on a daily basis. This way you can keep misunderstandings and idle time to a minimum.
Measure, Analyze, Learn!

The platform
The jointly created platform makes it easy to find any offers to relieve those in need of care or caregiving relatives: Are you looking for a driving service, meal service or medical care for your grandma? No problem at all. Because now you can find all suitable offers in your area quickly and at the touch of a button.
The future
The search for offers is just the beginning. The topic of caring for relatives will become increasingly important over the next few years and will become directly relevant for most of us sooner or later. Domicura had a whole host of suitable ideas on how they can support us all in this - and we have just as many ideas on how we can support Domicura in this.
