Industrie-Website für komplexe technische Produkte

  • Web Development

Initial situation

Many industry websites grow organically over the years.

New products are added. Data sheets. PDFs. Areas of application. Product variants. And at some point, the result is exactly what nobody wants: content chaos.

Information is available, but difficult to find. Users lose their bearings. Search engines do too. And every adjustment in the CMS is unnecessarily time-consuming.

At Ferrovac, too, it became clear that the existing website no longer matched the quality and precision of the products.

The idea

Complex technical products do not need a complicated website.

The focus of the relaunch was therefore not on as many effects as possible or a visual gimmick. But on clarity. Structure. Orientation.

The new platform organizes technical content so that users can understand it more quickly:

  • which product is relevant
  • where you can find further information
  • and how individual contents are connected

At the same time, the internal team should be able to maintain content flexibly and efficiently - without ending up in a CMS labyrinth every time.

The solution

The new website is based on DatoCMS and Next.js.

The headless setup creates the technical basis for a high-performance, flexible platform that can be maintained in the long term. Above all, however, the structured modeling of the content was crucial.

Products, categories, technical information and downloads have been structured in such a way that content can be maintained modularly and reused in different places.

This creates:

  • clearer navigation
  • better findability
  • consistent content
  • and a solid foundation for SEO

Search less. Understand more.

With technical industry websites in particular, it's often not the big wow effect that counts. What counts is how quickly someone can find the right information.

For this reason, the product catalog was designed so that content is logically structured and easily accessible. Technical information is not hidden, but is instead targeted.

This not only helps potential customers. It also helps search engines.

This is what we did

We supported Ferrovac in the conception, structuring and technical implementation of the new platform.

  • Information architecture
  • UX and content structure
  • DatoCMS setup
  • Development with Next.js
  • Structuring the product catalog
  • Technical SEO basis
  • Performance optimization

We don't just build websites. We structure digital content so that people reach their destination faster.

Result

The new website creates clarity in a technically demanding environment.

Products and information are easier to find. Content can be maintained efficiently. And the platform offers a modern technical basis for future requirements.

Or to put it another way:

Less content chaos. More orientation.
