Every year, hundreds of thousands of people in Switzerland face retirement. The questions are well known - but rarely answered comprehensively:
- How will my everyday life change?
- What gives me meaning and structure?
- Is my money enough - and what does that mean for my life in concrete terms?
Existing services usually make a strict distinction between financial checks and life advice. What is missing is the bridge in between.
For the Vita Joint Foundation, one thing is clear: pension provision does not end with the figures. It begins where people seek guidance.
The idea: Change of perspective
Instead of building another tool, there is a change of perspective: pension provision is thought of as a life transition - not as a calculation task.
The Retirement Compass combines three levels:
- Financial orientation
- psychosocial issues
- Personal, approachable mediation
The claim: a platform that not only optimizes, but also accompanies.



Solution
The Retirement Compass is a freely accessible web app - deliberately without registration and without data collection.
Users navigate through their own situation step by step:
- Personal assessment: Where do I stand today?
- Financial classification: Comprehensible analysis.
- Concrete steps: What to do now?
Instead of abstract models, real voices create trust: Video interviews make experiences tangible.
The platform remains deliberately calm: clear language, intuitive navigation, no excessive demands.

The challenge: mastering complexity
The real difficulty lies not in the technique, but in the interaction:
- Making financial knowledge understandable
- Integrate personal topics respectfully
- Building trust without collecting data
In addition, there is the depth of content: all content is curated and checked. The integrated chat only accesses these verified sources - no generic AI answers, no half-knowledge from the internet.

Result
The platform has generated an impressive response in a very short space of time:
- 1.2 million sessions in 3 months
- 4.9 million impressions on LinkedIn
- 64'000 impressions on Meta
But more important than the scope is the effect: people gain clarity in a phase of uncertainty. They gain orientation, self-confidence and new scope for action.

Outlook
The Retirement Compass is not a finished product, but a growing ecosystem. The next steps:
