IAMUser administration made easy.
IAM stands for Identity and Access Management. If you want your users to log in to your product, you need a login. If you have a login, you need a user administration with Authentication and Authorization. In the past, everyone used to build it themselves (again and again). Today, there are platforms that offer this as a service.
Don't reinvent the wheel
In IT, the rule of thumb is often: Pick 2 of 3. But a purchased IAM kills three birds with one stone: faster, more secure and cheaper. Win-win-win!
- Buy cheaply instead of building expensively: your own user administration including login is more complex than you first think.
- Must be done well: today's security requirements are often underestimated. The Internet is accessible to everyone, and unfortunately there are some people who would love to break your product.
- Don't stumble again where others have already stumbled: you benefit directly from the knowledge of the specialists from your IAM manufacturer.
The best bikes on the road
IAM platforms offer ready-made code libraries that are easy to integrate. Established standards such as OpenID Connect guarantee a common understanding for the exchange of user information.
- Citadel - You can obtain the platform from Switzerland as SaaS from the cloud or operate it in your own data center. Thanks to its compliance with recognized standards, Zitadel is very easy to connect and offers many features.
- Auth0 - Probably the best-known international IAM platform. There is no on-premise solution here. However, the platform is also extremely easy to connect and the range of functions is huge.
- Google Identity - A cheaper alternative. Does not offer the same range of functions or the same convenient developer experience, but also fits into a small budget.
